Mia Lorén
I’m experienced in UX research, service design, and innovation processes. Combine that with a knack for creating awesome teamwork, and hey, that’s me!
I’m a consultant at Qestit, currently based at Volvo Cars Team CoDev Fleet Management. My team manages a test fleet consisting of 3,000 employees globally. Utilizing this fleet, we provide valuable data and insights to the entire organization. My role primarily involves fostering engagement among our drivers. Beyond shaping the fleet’s long-term strategy, my daily work includes crafting communication, conducting UX research like designing and analyzing surveys, evaluating software tests, and running larger studies to collect qualitative data. Additionally, I contribute to software development by working on design, strategy, and testing. Drawing on my expertise in service design, I take responsibility for my team’s management of the fleet from a service perspective, focusing on methods, strategy, and service development.
Before pursuing my education to become a UX designer, I worked at SOS Alarm as a team leader and spokesperson for media inquiries—a challenging role in many ways. This experience gave me a solid foundation in leading complex teams, collaborating with diverse people, making critical decisions, and finding innovative solutions.
I’m also a certified sommelier since 2019. For several years, I ran a small business importing wines, mainly from northern Italy, which I sold through Systembolaget. Though I’ve since closed the business, my passion for wine remains strong. I regularly share my knowledge by talking about wine on radio P4.
When I’m not working, I love being active. Running through the forests and swimming in the lakes around Gothenburg are some of my favorite activities. I’m also a competitive person who thrives on the tennis court. Early mornings at the gym are another way I stay energized and focused.
I enjoy spending time outdoors and working in my garden; gardening makes me feel truly rich. I’m passionate about design, particularly furniture and ceramics. Over the years, I’ve taken several courses in furniture making and other crafts, and I always have a major project (or two) underway at home.
